Snow

Hi Kiddos-

I found a out about pretty neat website a couple days ago and I wanted to share it with you guys!  It's called Snowdays.

Very similar to FreeRice, the organization will donate money to a good cause and it's FREE for us to explore!

All you have to do is:

Go on to Snowdays
Click on create you own snowflake.  You can put your first name (or number) and the city you live in along with a message (if you'd like).  Uncheck the part where it asks for your e-mail and you're set!
OR
Click on find a snowflake.  You can find mine: My name is Ms Gee, I'm from Sacramento.
OR
Do both & admire all the pretty snowflakes.

Have fun creating your own snowflakes.  Don't forget to work on your Winter Break packets!

A day in History

To the wonderful students in Room 17:

Have you ever wondered what happened on your birthday in history??

Click here to view A Day in History

On the right hand side, it says, "What happened on your birthday?"  Click on pick a date and find your birthday.  It will show you a short video about some cool facts that happened on the day you were born!

For example, this is what happened on November 18th..

Now, it's your turn to find 2 interesting things that happened on your birthday!  Don't forget to write down the date and the year(s) it occurred along with your class #.

When you're done, you can do the following:
